Where it starts

Brad phones in the middle of it all and is told, cheerfully, that a stand-in has been found. He is pleased to hear it is only the little stepbro. Later Ava practices her vows with Leo and arrives at the moment where the officiant would tell the groom to kiss the bride. She sets a quiet challenge. Start episode 1 and see where it goes.

Cast and characters

Ava, played by Lea Fontaine, is an invented AI character rather than a real performer's twin. Leo is the stepbrother, Brad the distracted fiancé. The tone is playful and a little mischievous, with Ava firmly in charge. If you like this setup, Wife's Step Sister is a neighbor worth trying. The story stays light on its feet, so each episode feels like one more rehearsal that goes slightly off script. We found the pacing brisk and the setup easy to follow without any backstory.
