I Picked Up a Hitchhiker: One Room Left
A stranded woman, a beat-up pickup and a motel with one room: a road-trip fantasy that moves fast.

Five episodes under two minutes each, set on a desert road: that is I Picked Up a Hitchhiker, a Candy Shorts series. No star twin here: Colette Ramsey, a fictional Candy character, leads the cast. We score Colette's road trip Red hot, 4 of 5 flames, so expect the free episodes to simmer and the paid ones to pay off.
Where the road leads
Episode 1 puts you behind the wheel of a battered truck on an empty desert highway. You are the first to admit you're an ordinary guy, so when a striking woman sticks out her thumb, you can hardly believe she climbs in. She says she left her boyfriend (or ex, she corrects herself) at a gas station fifty miles back.
The heat in the cab does the rest. A motel is forty miles ahead, and she invites herself along. The first episode ends at the front desk, where only one room is free and she seems perfectly fine with that. Start episode 1 to see how long you last on the comfortable side of the line, then let episode 2 take the evening forward from the motel door.
Who rides with you
Colette Ramsey, the hitchhiker, was invented as an AI character; no real performer's likeness is behind her. You play the nameless driver, an easygoing guy who can't quite believe his luck. Nobody else turns up in the first episodes, which keeps it a two-person story on a lonely road with plenty of silence to fill.

What it costs to finish
The ride starts for free: no account for the first episode, a free sign-up for the second. Three paid episodes at 12 tokens take you to the end of the road: 36 in all. Want the full list of what costs nothing? The Candy Shorts free guide has it.
Should you watch I Picked Up a Hitchhiker?
Thin on plot, quick and playful, and the sun-bleached desert road sets it apart visually from most series here. Worth the two free episodes before you decide on any tokens.
You will like it if you will like it if road-trip setups and an unlikely pairing appeal to you.
Pass if you want a big cast or a story full of twists.
