Behind on Rent fits five episodes into Candy Shorts, none past two minutes, and every role is played by an invented Candy character, with no star's twin. On the flame score, the rent drama lands at Red hot, 4 of 5. Think of it as a small-apartment drama about debt, secrets and one awkward hallway.
Notice on the door
Jake is three months late on rent, jobless and facing an eviction deadline. His landlady, Vanessa, offers an alternative to calling the agency: settle the debt a different way. He agrees, tells himself it is only business, and a month of rent disappears.
Then he meets Mia, a new face in the building who turns out to be the landlady's daughter. She works out the arrangement quickly and proposes one of her own, with silence as the price. By the end of the second episode he is squeezed between two women. Start with the first episode and the situation is clear within seconds.
Tenant, landlady, daughter
Jake is the nervous center, Vanessa runs the house with confidence, and Mia arrives with her own agenda. All are adults, all invented for Candy.ai rather than modeled on real performers.
A comparable setup, with an older woman holding the cards, is My One-Night Stand Is My Girlfriend's Mom.
